TECNO Camon 19 : In mid-July this year, TECNO Mobile announced several new smartphones on the Ukrainian market. Most of them refer to the Camon 19 series presented a month earlier in New York, which includes several smartphones: Camon 19 Pro 5G, Camon 19 Pro, Camon 19 and Camon 19 Neo. In this review, we will meet the classic TECNO Camon 19. Then, let’s consider its key features and differences from its peers and find out how strong the smartphone is overall in its price category.

TECNO Camon 19 Price And Positioning
As mentioned earlier, TECNO’s current Camon 19 series includes four smartphones, but in many markets, including Ukrainian, only three will be presented – without the TECNO Camon 19 Pro 5G. With 19 Pro, everything is transparent and predictable – it’s the top and most expensive representative of this line in Ukraine. Still, the situation is unusual with the classic Camon 19 and its alternative in the form of 19 Neo.
Package Content
The TECNO Camon 19 comes in a rather large but, at the same time, thin cardboard box with an exquisite design and materials that are pleasant to the touch. Equipment, by modern standards, can even be called rich. In addition to the standard power adapter, cable, key to remove the card slot and accompanying documentation, there is a protective case and a wired headset.
Design, Materials And Assembly
The design of the TECNO Camon 19 is attractive, and externally the smartphone, it must be said, turned out to be entirely original. That’s not to say it doesn’t look like any other smartphone, but the design decisions used here are pretty… bold. At least in the TECNO model lineup, we didn’t see such a combination before the launch of the Camon 19 series, and it’s already interesting. The manufacturer itself focuses on several design elements: thin “advanced” bezels, a “frameless” camera module, flat edges and a “starry sky” on the back of the case. Roughly speaking, generally about design as such.
Composition Of Elements
The front camera is located in the centre of the screen. And no matter how weird it sounds, this is the only functional element on the front panel. So the reasonable question is, where is everything else? The speakerphone and other usual sensors have been moved to another location, and you will see them soon. Why is this done? We recall the same thin frame. There is no LED for notifications on the smartphone.
Ergonomics
The TECNO Camon 19 is not the most compact smartphone, which is obvious, and with a screen diagonal of 6.8″, it has the following dimensions: 166.6×74.4×8.3 mm and a weight of 198 g. What does this mean? Despite the large screen, the smartphone was not as big as devices with this diagonal tend to be. Instead, it is relatively narrow and very tall. It is the merit of the thin frames. However, controlling it entirely with one hand won’t be easy. There’s no way to get to the top of the screen without additional intercept unless you activate the one-handed control mode.
Tecno Camon 19 Display
The TECNO Camon 19 received an enormous 6.8-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution (2460×1080 pixels). The aspect ratio is slightly unusual – 20.5:9, and the pixel density is around 395 PPI. At the same time, the refresh rate is not increased, and the most classic is 60 Hz. The display is also TÜV Rheinland certified, which means it emits less blue light, which is good for the user’s eyes.
Tecno Camon 19 Performance
TECNO Camon 19 is equipped with a mid-range chipset – MediaTek Helio G85. It is made according to 12nm standards and includes eight cores divided into two clusters: 2 high-performance Cortex-A75 cores with a maximum clock frequency of up to 2.0 GHz, and the frequency of the other six less productive, energy-efficient Cortex-A55 centres can reach 1.8 GHz. In conjunction with the Mali-G52 MC2 video accelerator, as a result, we get the usual average level of performance. However, the smartphone does not show any phenomenal results in the tests, and in the throttling test, the performance of the cores decreases by a maximum of 15% in 17 minutes.
