Realme 9 Pro annouced in mid-February 2022, the realm company announced some new smartphones of the “numbered” 9th series: realme 9 Pro і realme 9 Pro+. We’ve already talked about the advanced “nine plus”. Told in detail recently, and now it’s time to get acquainted with the usual realm nine pros. First, let’s find out what distinguishing features the 9 Pro has compared to the 9 Pro+, whether this smartphone has any advantage over the older version and whether it deserves your attention.

Positioning And Cost Realme 9 Pro

As I already noted in the readme 9 Pro+ review, it is with this series that the manufacturer resorts for the first time to launching two high-end smartphones simultaneously. But at the same time, it is worth noting that they are pretty different. That is, it is not quite like the difference between the devices conventionally consisting of the screen’s diagonal, dimensions and other aspects.

Package Content

The smartphone will deliver in the same cardboard box with the brand design in the primary yellow colour and black details. The package is essential, as in current smartphones from the manufacturer: a power adapter and USB Type-A/Type-C cable, a protective case, a key to remove the card slot and some documentation that comes with it. The first difference from the 9 Pro is complete charging, and here it’s more straightforward compared to the older “brother” in the series. However, 33 W is considered quite powerful for the mid-range segment.

Cover

The protective cover is silicone, dyed, and without frosted inserts. So the quality is acceptable, and protection is also standard. There is a border above the screen and duplicate buttons, and the camera unit will fully cover but with separate cutouts for each module and flash. Also, according to good tradition, a protective film is attached to the smartphone screen of the box.

Design, Materials And Assembly

Project realme The 9 Pro, in short, is entirely identical to the 9 Pro+. This design, of course, has its own exciting and unique visual techniques, but there are also questionable moments in places. The smartphone doesn’t look much different from other 9th-series devices, and they are all somewhat similar. Nothing is exciting on the front, but there’s already something to be said for the backs and colouring.

Camera

In front of us is a typical realme smartphone. The front camera locates in the upper left corner of the screen. In this case, the eye is not very compact, unlike the realme 9 Pro+. The reason for everything is a different type of screen, but its diagonal is also more prominent, so there’s nothing critical about it. The bezels around the display aren’t the thinnest by modern standards, especially the bottom edge.

The camera island has also practically not changed visually if we don’t consider its size. Here, the rectangle has gotten a little more significant due to the increased size of the device itself, but otherwise, it has remained the same. It is a rectangular-shaped glass block with rounded corners, on which three dedicated camera modules, a flash and other inscriptions will place.

Composition Of Elements

All the main functional elements at the front will locat at the top. The front camera will cuts out in the upper left corner; in the middle of the frame, there is a slot for the speaker and a window with proximity and light sensors. Unfortunately, there is no message indicator.

Ergonomics

Smartphone realm 9 Pro was more significant than the Plus version in terms of dimensions and a screen diagonal and is one of the biggest among all the 9th series in principle. With a diagonal of 6.6″, the dimensions of the case are 164.3×75.6×8.5 mm, and the weight is 195 g. It isn’t easy to control it with one hand due to its size, which is obvious, and this is nothing new. It’s good that a one-handed control mode is available here, and using it on the go can help simplify utilising the device.

The Display Is 9 Pro

Realme 9 Pro display with 6.6″ diagonal, made with IPS LCD technology. The panel resolution is Full HD+ (or 2412×1080 pixels), the aspect ratio is 20:9, and the pixel density is 400 PPI. In addition, the screen will distinguish a high refresh rate of 120 Hz and a sampling frequency (or touch reading) of 240 Hz. In this smartphone, the manufacturer has already chosen a different connection with IPS and 120 Hz instead of AMOLED and 90 Hz, which will use in realme 9 Pro +.
