OnePlus 10R is flagship device series will offer a MediaTek processor. OnePlus was officially brought back to the OPPO wing. It led not only to downsizing but also to a change in strategy. The company abandoned the launch of the OnePlus 9T and made an early debut of the OnePlus 10 Pro only in the Chinese market. It will hit the global market at the beginning of Q2, and two more new products will appear: The onePlus 10 and the OnePlus 10R.
Previously on the internet, the OnePlus 10 was rumoured to receive a Density 9000 chipset. It will be the first time the company’s flagship device series will offer a MediaTek processor. But Androidauthority, citing a reliable source, refuted that assumption, saying that the Density 9000 will intend for the OnePlus 10R. As you know, MediaTek’s new processor has everything to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 in pure processing power. And also search OnePlus 9 Pro
Now it seems that the OnePlus 10, like its Pro version, will receive the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, which will dictate that this model enters the North American market. The Density 9000 has a built-in 5G modem with global 5G bands but limits to Sub-6 and lacks mmWave connectivity. While US networks rely on mmWave for 5G coverage, not being able to connect in that range automatically makes the Density 9000 a poor choice for the OnePlus 10.
Processor
So it stands to reason that MediaTek’s new flagship processor forms the basis of the OnePlus 10R, targeting India and China. The smartphone will also credit with an AMOLED display with a revive rate of 120 Hz, at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash memory. In addition, the device must run the Android 12 operating system with OxygenOS 12 or ColorOS 12 skin (depending on the market where it will be available).
Other sources report that OnePlus will release the novelty closer to the end of Q2 2022 to avoid competition with the OnePlus 9R, which recently debuted in some markets.
Camera
By the way, the company recently received a patent for the primary rotating camera. That is, a single camera will install on the back of the smartphone, which can rotate – if necessary, can rotat the module vertically or horizontally along the axis by 180°, allowing you to shoot from different angles. The user will not need to manoeuvre his smartphone to find the desired angle; he will have to turn the camera module.
Brand Details
The patent register in China in late 2020 and discovered by LetsGoDigital. It was named “Camera Module and Electronic Equipment”. A magnet will use to rotate the camera, and when shooting in normal mode, the mechanism should prove to be an improved image stabilization system. Its principle may resemble the matrix shift optical image stabilization technology used in the new iPhones.
It is currently unclear whether OnePlus plans to implement its idea or whether it will destin, like most patents, to remain just an idea on paper. Even if the company dares to implement its plan, it won’t happen anytime soon.
